The San Francisco Marathon is a popular summer marathon showing off the city's natural beauty and big city charm. There is also the choice of two half marathons and a 5K race.

San Francisco Marathon Route
Runners follow a loop course through the city streets, starting and finishing on the Embarcadero near the Ferry Building. Along the way, participants will pass many iconic San Francisco sites. These include Fisherman's Wharf, the Marina, Golden Gate Bridge, Presidio and Golden Gate Park. The last section leads down the famous Haight Street as runners pass through the Mission, Potrero and Mission Bay Districts, behind AT&T Park and under the Bay Bridge before reaching the finish line
