The Wilmington Marathon is a popular, scenic race and is expected to sell out. There is also a half marathon, marathon relay, 5K and a 1 mile fun run.

Wilmington Marathon Route
The race is run on the road, overlooking the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

Runners start at Wrightsville Beach Park. The route takes them through the city streets, along the Gary Shell Cross City trail and into the Heart of UNCW Campus, as well as around the Wrightsville Beach Loop. After a final stretch on the Gary Shell Cross City trail, they will then reach the finish line is at Mayfaire Town Center Mall.
