First run in 1988, in the Saddleback Mountains of the Cleveland National Forest, the Saddleback Marathon is described as California's premiere trail marathon.
Saddleback Marathon Route
Runners follow and out-and-back course up the The Main Divide, giving them great views of Riverside and Orange Counties. They then turn back,
heading down The Main Divide back to Ortega Highway where runners turn and head back the same way to the finish line.
